Bemis Lab

The current focus of the Bemis laboratory is the identification and characterization of noncoding RNAs in liquid biopsies. Extracellular RNAs (exRNAs) are an abundant group of noncoding RNAs, dominated by the microRNAs, tRNAs, and tRNA fragments. These exRNAs are potential biomarkers in a wide range of health conditions including cancer, infectious disease and alcoholism.
